I LOVE this place.. It's got a really cozy, cute vibe that I really like. The tea selection is phenomenal... try the "Inspiration" tea...
I can see how this would be a good place for reading and/or studying... but the atmosphere.. to me.. is a bit more "restaraunt"like.. meaning, i would feel awkward if i just busted out my laptop onto the table... you are served by servers and i wouldn't want to just sit for hours and use up the table. It's pretty small so not too many tables to begin with...
I think the soup and sandwiches are delish!! try the "croque monsieur" mmmm
Go on a weekday night, but skip the stale, overpriced fare (sandwiches and pastries) in favor of at least 3 varieties of tea. With a menu of over 100 choices theres something for every taste and desired level of caffeine. Sessa (last choice on the first page of the menu) is highly reccomended.
Decor is reminicsent of Serendipity with a gift shop (with anti- Bush paraphernelia) upfront, and disneylandesque Alice in Wonderland tea cups and wall paintings in the dining room.
Very few men on premises. As in, just the waiter
